Nathaniel received his Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Oregon in 2009 and earned his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 2015. An avid sports fan, outside of the courtroom you will likely find him on some playing field in the community.
Nathaniel has devoted his life to seeking equality and fighting for justice for all people. Before opting for law school, he spent 10 years promoted this goal while working alongside the non-profit Sierra Service Project serving various marginalized communities on the West Coast. While obtaining his Juris Doctor, Nathaniel earned his place as a lawyering fellow with the prestigious Northeastern Social Justice Project. Nathaniel is passionate about achieving the best possible result for his clients. His goal is to reach as many people as possible, connecting them with legal resources, representations, and – most importantly, the dignity that they are owed.
Attorney Spinney practices primarily Criminal Defense, but also offers his services in the areas of Family Law, Estate Planning, and some small business Corporate Law. Since 2016, Nathaniel has a been a member of the award-winning Essex County Bar Advocates Association handling indigent criminal defense in Essex County Superior, District, and Juvenile Courts.
In 2024, Nathaniel was called to the Nova Scotia bar and is an active practicing lawyer in the province. Nathaniel currently resides in Massachusetts.
